Here are some ways to alleviate the stress in this situation.

  • Discuss with your child how you need to work together in both a nice and efficient manner—even when you disagree.  Doing this will help them learn how to work in a group and avoid frustration in the future.
  • Work all the easier problems first
  • Utilize the internet for help on the topic
  • Have you child seek help on the problem that is bothering them first thing in the morning when they get to school
  • Sign up for a homework help service or possibly a tutoring service where your child can get their question answered.
  • Rely on a math tutoring professional to help your family avoid this situation completely
